Nazareth, Israel

For more than 40 years, Maurice Jadon has served the church in Nazareth, Israel. He and his family work with an Arabic-speaking church in that city of approximately 70,000 people. To their knowledge, this is the only church of Christ in the country of Israel at this time and, since Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries, it may be the only church within a thousand miles. The church has a nice permanent faculty near the city center and between 15 and 25 faithful brothers and sisters meet there each week (unless a group from the U.S. visits). Their work is currently overseen by the Covington church of Christ. Estes has recently begun financial support of this ministry.
