The elders announced on Sunday that Trent McManus has been slected as our new youth and family minister and we are pleased to welcome Trent and Christy McManus and their children Gideon, Faith, Daisy, and Silas to our Estes family.
Trent also currently serves as the coordinator for the Ayers Center for Leadership at FHU and Christy teaches 5th grade at Chester County Middle School. The family moved to Henderson last year from Halls, TN. While in Halls, Trent served for 15 years as pulpit minister and youth minister for the Halls Church of Christ. Trent and Christy have been married for 16 years. Gideon is 11, Faith is 9, Daisy is 7, and Silas is 6.
When asked about beginning this new ministry, Trent says, “I am excited with the opportunity to work with this congregation as your new Youth and Family Minister. I know we will accomplish great things for the Lord as we work together to serve the youth in our congregation and the community. A great youth program works along side the church and its members as we worship, study, and serve God. I encourage every member of the church to come and be part of this great work. This work will include classes, devotionals, camps, vacation bible schools, youth rallies, fellowship activities, and a new program of activities for the Tweens (6th grade and under). Christy, Gideon, Faith, Daisy, Silas, and I are glad that the day has arrived to begin this great work!”
